Huntingdon Crematorium

Great Dunmow Crematorium

Dunmow Crematorium offers a tranquil setting with trees, bushes, and natural rustic beauty.

The chapel comfortably seats 150 people, with additional standing space available. It is equipped with state-of-the-art audio-visual technology, including two large screen monitors and an Obitus sound system to play music or hymns. A longer interval between services than usually given by crematoriums, is standard at Great Dunmow to help create a more peaceful atmosphere.

Dunmow Crematorium was designed by Derek Tuttlebury and constructed by the Walsh family, who have been builders and funeral directors for many years. They are now in their fourth generation of serving the Dunmow community.

The crematorium is still owned and operated by the Walsh family, who are dedicated to caring for families through some of the most difficult times in life.

Three Counties Crematorium

The Right Reverend J. Gladwin, Bishop of Chelmsford, officially opened Three Counties Crematorium in Braintree in June 2009.

The Chapel is modern, bright, and spacious, with seating for up to 108 people, with additional standing space in the foyer and outdoor areas which are fully equipped with a speaker system to ensure the service can still be heard. The chapel is also multi-faith, allowing us to tailor the service to meet your cultural and religious requirements.

Their peaceful Gardens of Remembrance are meticulously maintained by grounds staff, providing a serene space for quiet reflection and allowing families to honour their loved ones.

Every family is treated with the utmost dignity and respect, and on the day of the service, staff will be there to support you at every step.

Huntingdon Crematorium

Huntingdon Crematorium is the UK's second purpose-built, eco-friendly crematorium and the first to be managed by a Town Council. The chapel accommodates 200 seated guests, with extra standing space available.

Huntingdon Crematorium offers a peaceful cemetery and a beautiful memorial garden for families to reflect and honour their loved ones.

The chapel is furnished with comfortable seating and includes a large screen for photo dedications and eulogies, along with personal image and lighting effects to enhance the service. For family and friends who are unable to attend in person, there is a web camera for live streaming the ceremony.

After the cremation service, The Sapley Lodge is available for private gatherings, accommodating up to 120 mourners, and offers a range of menu options to choose from for a fitting, personalised gathering.
